WebWhen the school does not properly keep school property in a reasonably safe condition that causes an accident, the school may be liable under premises liability laws. 8 Even if a coach, facilities manager, or teacher was negligent in causing the injury, the school district may still be liable for damages. WebNotwithstanding this Act, the liability of any owner or occupier of a premises to anyone who enters or uses those premises for a recreational purpose, as defined by the Recreational Use of Land and Water Areas Act, is governed by that Act.
